Keystone Revisited celebrates the music of Jerry Garcia and Merl Saunders, the famous duo who are widely credited with creating the concept of the “jam band.”
Performing as Merl Saunders & Jerry Garcia, Reconstruction and Legion of Mary, Garcia and Saunders were at the forefront of the jam band era.
Keystone Revisited pays homage to these legendary players by breathing new life into their classic songs and creating original tunes in the improvisational spirit of Garcia and Saunders. The band is known for their live performances, which include Merl’s son bassist Tony Saunders, original band member and drummer Bill Vitt, guitarist Jeff Pevar and others.
